Unzialen sind Schriften, die heute meist für religiöse und allgemein 
feierliche Drucksachen (auch Urkunden) eingesetzt werden. 
Weil der Leser nicht an sie gewöhnt ist, kann er sie oft auch nicht 
besonders schnell lesen. Neuerdings werden Unzialen auch gern in der 
Musikbranche zur Gestaltung von CD-Booklets verwendet.

Bei der Uncial Virtual ging es darum, eine extrem freie, neue Form zu 
entwickeln, die sich von den klassischen Formen entfernt, aber für die 
genannten Anwendungen durchaus benutzt werden kann und zugleich 
zeitgenössisch und entstaubt wirkt.

Today Uncials are used for religious or festive printing matters and
documents. As the reader is not familiar with them, it's difficult 
to read them the fast way. 
Uncials have been revived lateley by music companies for CD-booklets
and cover texts.

The intention of Uncial Virtual is the development of an extremely
free and new form, moving away from the classic forms. It matches
the requirements of the a.m. use cases, but it has a certain touch of
modernity.
